The Indian biostimulant market is projected to expand at a CAGR of 16.5 %. Market size is estimated to grow to USD 180.94 million by 2023 from USD 71.23 million in 2017. Industry insiders believe growth would exceed projections and market size would rise to USD 300 million by 2025.The global biostimulants market, which was valued at USD 2,034.8 million in 2018 is expected to grow to USD 4,597.6 million by the end of 2027.
India has brought biostimulants under the rules that govern fertiliser and other crop nutrients (that are used to enhance productivity of the soil).This will help to regulate the Rs 1,500 crore market of biostimulants, as earlier unlike fertilisers and pesticides, these products were not regulated and were sold without a certification of their efficacy.
