Japan is regarded as a key partner in India's economic transformation. In the recent past, the India Japan relationship has transformed to a partnership of great substance and purpose. Japan's interest in India is increasing due to a variety of reasons including India's large and growing market and its resources, especially the human resources .India's primary exports to Japan have been petroleum products, chemicals, elements, compounds, non-metallic mineral ware, fish & fish preparations, metalliferous ores & scrap, clothing & accessories, iron & steel products, textile yarn, fabrics and machinery, electrical and renewable energy products etc. India's export to Japan was US$M 4434.59 in 2020 – 2021 which become US$M 6176.77 in 2021 - 2022; which shows the growth rate of 39.29%.


In this perspective Indian Chamber of Commerce along with Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India is going to organize India Pavilion at World Smart Energy Week at Tokyo, Japan from 28th February, 2024 to 1st March, 2024.
