Background
The United Kingdom's Homeland Security Industry is world-leading, encompassing capability in police modernisation, critical infrastructure protection, border security, forensics, counter-terrorism and safe cities. UK companies are at the forefront of designing and manufacturing security-related goods and services all over the world. In 2020/21 the UK saw continued growth in the security sector, with over £7.5bn of exports, demonstrating that UK products and services continue to be highly sought after internationally.
UK-India Relations
During the Prime Minister of United Kingdom's India visit in April 2021, India and UK agreed to deepen industrial cooperation in Defence and Security through co-development, co-creation, co-design and joint production. As UK industry continue to invest in new capabilities, the UK Government is challenging them to develop partnerships with India, to create the next generation of solutions for improving security and law enforcement.
