Today the demand for international security has risen to new heights. Changes in the security environment of traditional threats have not only played a key factor in determining policies and modernization plans for the Armed Forces of every nation in its quest to confront all possible challenges, but the impact of non-traditional threats, for example, natural disasters, environmental degradations, transnational crimes, terrorism and cyber security have also influenced Armed Forces to revise concepts and plans in preparing their readiness to act against all odds. Mainly for this reason, a significant surge has been observed in defense and security industries of almost all South East Asian countries.

In this perspective Indian Chamber of Commerce, in association with Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India is organizing India Pavilion at 4th Asian Defense & Security - ADAS 2022​; from 27th to 29th April, 2022 at Manila, Philippines.

Following the very successful launch in 2014, the second edition in the Series, ADAS 2016 achieved even greater success, and grew by 42%, reaffirming its position as The Philippines' Flagship Defense and Security Event. Living up to its recognized stature in the international defense industry, the third event ADAS 2018 grew by another 30%. ADAS 2022 will once again prove to be another great success as it continues to attract a significant number of international exhibitors from around the world to Manila in January 2022.

ADAS 2022 is the only tri-service Defense and Security Exhibition that comprehensively addresses the diverse requirements of the Department of National Defense (DND), the National Security Council (NSC), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Philippine National Police (PNP), as well as its many homeland security and crisis and disaster response agencies.

Decision makers from the DND, NSC, AFP, PNP and the Other Agencies will be maximizing the opportunity presented by the Show to evaluate their modernization and upgrading program requirements. Their regional counterparts from around the Asia Pacific will also be invited to attend.

Rapidly modernizing, the AFP has in recent years acquired new air, land, and sea platforms such as F/A-50 light attack jets, armoured personnel carriers and transport vehicles, and strategic sealift vessels. However, the AFP is still looking to further improve its capabilities with further acquisitions across the three services, with desired targets including multirole combat aircraft and helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, light tanks, and even submarines. Besides military modernization, there is also a significant demand in counter-terrorism, policing, and paramilitary equipment to address the ever-growing threats of transnational terrorism, as recently highlighted by the last Marawi crisis. With its diverse geography, the Philippines is also prone to natural disasters and extreme weather, and therefore requires effective humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) equipment and techniques to respond to these contingencies.
