The conference aims to provide a platform for experts, researchers, and practitioners to exchange insights and ideas on the vital topics of Millets and the PMFME Scheme.

Food Processing is one of the major sectors of the Indian economy in view of its large potential for growth and likely socio-economic impact specifically on employment, wealth and income creation. In the International year of Millets, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India is taking the initiative to promote Millets and Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme, investment and awareness for up-gradation of technology in the food processing sector in Andaman & Nicobar Islands through this event, where all important stake holders will meet and discuss critical issues pertaining towards development of the food processing industry in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
