ICC Western India Energy Conclave

The Indian Chamber of Commerce is organizing the ICC Western India Energy Conclave on 25th June 2025 at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.

Western India, despite the challenges of vast geographical expanse and large consumer base for electricity consumption, has done significantly well in transitioning to clean Energy sources, both solar and wind, directing to the ambitious targets for 2030 and significant investments in the sector. The MNRE proposed significant investments in inter-state transmission systems to evacuate power from renewable-rich states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh to areas with higher demand. This will enable stabilize energy prices and ensure uninterrupted electricity. The ongoing and future energy scenarios will require efficient management of the existing commercial enterprises as well as liberal requirements of investment in future technologies and upgradation of existing utilities and their management. Financial institutions will invest in enterprises that are efficient in their management and utilization of resources. Customer confidence and demand will also find traction in the best-managed enterprises; the ICC is committed to future technologies, best practices, management and customer satisfaction for enhancing good business amongst its constituents and Indian Citizenry.

The Conclave is designed to deliberate on commercially secured renewable energy business prospects and opportunities to build a resilient and comprehensive renewable energy ecosystem, enabling businesses to connect. This will significantly reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, mitigate climate change impacts, and ensure sustainable, equitable energy access to the farthest areas in India. This approach will encompass the entire renewable energy value chain, including domestic manufacturing, financing, development, deployment and asset management, aiming for rapid and sustainable energy transitions on a global scale, focusing on increasing market access.

• Solar Power: Manufacture, Installation and Generation
• Coal: Washing, Gasification, Chemicals and Liquid Fuel
• Base Load Electricity in Western India: SMR and Nuclear Fusion
• Cleaner use of Coal and Hydrocarbons
• Lithium Refinery, Battery Manufacturing and Battery Recycling industry in Western India
