A high level business delegation from Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) will be led by Mr Ameya Prabhu, President ICC to Dhaka, Bangladesh.


The Delegation will be in Dhaka on 24th to 26th August, 2024.


India and Bangladesh have outlined a "futuristic vision" based on India's ambition of "Viksit Bharat by 2047" and Bangladesh's national development goal of "Smart Bangladesh Vision 2041." The task before the two countries with "shared vision for future: enhancing connectivity, commerce and collaboration for shared prosperity" is to work in a concerted manner with a special focus on collaboration in Textiles- MMFS, Urban Infra, Energy, Healthcare and Pharma, Education, and Agri & Food Processing sectors. The delegation will constitute of senior representatives from Indian public and private sector companies in these sectors.


The delegation is likely to fructify the common agendas through Business to Business Meetings with the members of the three Chambers of Bangladesh, meetings with Hon'ble Ministers of the respective sectors, Foreign Minister subject to their availability.


Energy Sector focus- collaboration in electricity Generation, Transmission, Electric Vehicle, Oil & Gas business collaboration, Renewable Energy and Financing of Energy.

Healthcare and Pharma - focus on active pharma ingredients, to make medical tourism ecosystem between India & Bangladesh more cohesive, empathetic and will explore more opportunities between the two countries.


Education- Skill development, industrial training, Higher Education opportunities for students


Agri-Horti produce and Food processing products from India- with focus on diary, spices, edible oil, processed food, fruits and vegetables cold storage and agro chemicals.


With the introduction of Bangladesh Smart Cities Development Project, Urban Infra- there is opportunity for developing urban cluster, with urban service improvement, institutional strengthening and e-governance aspects by infrastructure development companies.


Bangladesh favours fast adoption of Man-Made Fabric in their garment industry, which presents a good opportune time for the fabric exporters.


The ICC delegation during their visit will also participate in the B2B meetings, organized by the three main Chambers of Bangladesh, IBCCI, FBCCI and DCCI to explore wide-ranging cross-border trade and investment opportunities to keep the ongoing trade relation effective and active.
