Karan Yash Johar often informally referred to as KJo, is an Indian filmmaker, producer and television personality who primarily works in Hindi cinema​. He has launched the careers of several successful actors and filmmakers under his company Dharma Productions​. The recipient of several accolades​, including two National Film Awards​ and seven Filmfare Awards​, he has been honoured with the Padma Shri​ by the Government of India​ in 2020.
