Bengali Entertainment : Taking a Big Leap

In this era of OTT and social media, content is king and there are no barriers when it comes to entertainment. Digitisation and the infusion of over-the-top (OTT) platforms and overseas theatricals has become the major revenue earners in the industry. The Bengali film industry is known for producing several most critically acclaimed global parallel cinema and art films. Many filmmakers have gained prominence at the national level. Bengal film Industry or Tollywood as it is popularly known, has come a long way and delivered good number of commercially successful films in the recent past. However, there are several issues facing Tollywood like mass connect, infrastructure, financing, policy framework etc.

Against this background, ICC is organizing an exclusive session with the flagbearers of Tollywood on 6th November 2022 at the Taj Terrace Garden, Taj Bengal from 8 pm onwards. The session would be followed by musical performance by Sanjay Mandal Group and Cocktails & dinner.
