Rice, is one of the staple cereals of India, and is a major source of food, particularly for over 50% of the population, and is cultivated in various regions of the country. Both the Central and the State Government, is taking various initiatives, right from guiding farmers, creating new processing plants, empowering entrepreneurs, providing new opportunities and financial assistance, improving infrastructure and constantly upgrading the quality of rice and rice products.
