India Corporate Governance &
Sustainability Vision Summit & Awards
Edition 14
15th March 2024, New Delhi
Corporate governance and sustainability not only safeguards management but also ensures the interests of stakeholders. It fosters the economic progress of an organization leading to overall growth of the nation. An organisation with proper governance experiences much higher level of confidence amongst the shareholders associated with that company. It is one of the most important criteria for foreign institutional investors to decide on which company to invest in.
On the other hand, climate change is really a difficult phenomenon affecting the entire world. And with a rising population, vehicles, industries and human activities around the globe, it is going to worsen more. It is a necessity to tackle the increasing incidents of climate-induced phenomena, otherwise the world will face severe outcomes. The world has seen a lot of difficulties with respect to rising global temperature, pollution caused by glacier melting, air pollution and resource crunch.
In the coming days, if this phase of climate change and global warming continues, the world will be severely affected and India, being one of the most populous country, will face dangerous implications. Governments and NGOs are working to limit the expansion of climate change. Almost a decade ago, it was not a matter of concern. But now looking at the implications and impacts on our day-to-day lives, it is posing as a large threat.
As many as 118 countries signed on to a pledge to triple its installed renewable energy capacity by 2030 during the ongoing COP28 climate summit held recently.
Against this background Indian Chamber of Commerce is organising the 14th edition ofIndia Corporate Governance & Sustainability Vision Summit & Awards on 15th March, 2024 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.
