Change is the only permanent thing in the nature and change is welcome when it eases and addresses the issue. On labour laws front the laws are undergone changes and 29 labour laws subsumed into 4 labour codes. Labour falls under the Concurrent List of the Constitution and States are framing the rules for these codes and some have already drafted. These codes are likely to come into effect from 1st of October 2021.

Accordingly, ICC has proposed to conduct a Webinar for the awareness to all the retailers on the new labour codes, especially with reference to Code on Wages and Code on Social Security, so that the retailers can equip themselves and ensure compliances
