In 26thConference of Parties (COP26), the Government of India announced to achieve net-zero emissions by the year 2070. While national targets, policies, and programmes are essential, they alone may not be sufficient to achieve this goal. Therefore, the states in India have a critical role to play in this transition journey.
In the above context, Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in partnership with Vasudha Foundation, New Delhi organizing a Conference to discuss various enablers to low-carbon pathways in the Odisha states.
This workshop aims to bring together relevant stakeholders from the government, industry, civil society, academia, and other experts, to deliberate upon the facets of developing a low-carbon economy in the region. The discussion will also explore ways to implement some of the existing plans and policies that aim to expedite the transition toward a low-carbon economy.
