Shri Ananta Barua was appointed by Central Government as Whole Time Member, of Securities and Exchange Board of India in Mumbai on August 1, 2018.
Shri Barua looks after Investment Management Department (IMD), Market Regulation Department (MRD), Enforcement Department (EFD), Legal Affairs Department (LAD), Enquiry and Adjudication Department, Recovery and Refund Department, Board Cell and Parliament Affairs Cell. He was previously as Whole Time Member in charge of Market Intermediaries Regulation and Supervision Department (MIRSD) and Department of Debt and Hybrid Securities(DDHS),
Prior to this position, Shri Barua served as Executive Director (ED) from May, 2010 to July, 2018 in SEBI. He was in charge of various departments as an ED in SEBI such as Investment Management Department (consisting of Mutual Funds, AIF, PMS, Research Analyst, IAS), Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPI), DDHS (consisting of Debt securities, Securitised Debt Instruments(SDI), RIET, InVit, Municipal Bonds), Corporate Finance Department (CFD) (IPO(ICDR), Listing (LODR), Corporate Restructuring (SAST, Buyback), LAD and EFD.
He joined SEBI in 1992. He was instrumental for developing regulatory framework for almost all the regulations framed by SEBI and recently for Issue and Listing of Debt Securities, Electronic Book Platform (EBP) Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) including Angel Funds, Municipal Bonds, Securitisation, Green Bonds, REITs & InvITs, Insider Trading, Research Analyst and also assisted in developing regulatory framework of ICDR (Issue of Capital & Disclosure Requirement, LODR (Listing Obligation and Disclosure Requirement), Substantial Acquisition & Takeover (SAST), buyback and Delisting Regulation etc.
Mr. Barua is a Commerce Graduate with LLB both from the University of Delhi. He also holds a Diploma in Management. Completed Regulatory internship for a month on derivatives with Chicago Board of Option Exchange (Cboe Global Markets), Chicago (July/August, 1998), on Capital Market Regulation with International Law Institute (ILI), Washington in October, 1995.
Shri Barua was on deputation to Central Bank of Bahrain as Advisor from 2004 to 2006 and has previously worked with Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI), National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL) and DCM Ltd.

Mr M. Anand is the President (Zone I) at SBI Life Insurance. He joined the company in the year 2014 and since then has been playing an instrumental role in the growth story of the company. With over 33 years of rich experience in varied segments of Banking & Insurance, he continues to lead strategies that are closely aligned with company's business objectives. Currently, he is responsible in leading the business & marketing strategies in key regions.
Prior to this, he has worked with various others insurance companies like HDFC Life, TATA AIA Life in various capacities which involved heading business channels, managing businesses P&L at the national level. Before moving to the insurance industry, he had a stint of fourteen years in the banking sector working with ANZ Grindlays Bank and Standard Chartered Bank. He has worked in diverse roles across branch banking, wealth management and customer value management.

He is a Science graduate from University of Kolkata and has specialised in Finance with a post graduate degree in Management from NMIMS, University of Mumbai.

Lokesh Gupta, Managing Director, is theHead of Corporate Banking Technology, CTO and Wholesale On-Boarding & Group FCO Technology at Barclays India.
Lokesh has been working in Technology for nearly 30 years. Prior to joining Barclays, Lokesh worked at Morgan Stanley, Nomura, Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs. At Barclays, he recently won the prestigious “Leader of the Year” award.
Lokesh truly believes in “People First” mantra. He is passionate about enabling people to reach their full potential and building customer centric organizations.He has been a Diversity & Inclusion champion and has led several initiatives to promote the cause within the organization. He grew up as a full-stack developer contributing not only to application development but also to database design, performance tuning, user support, training, and data analytics. He has served as the global head of technology supporting key businesses in large financial services organization.
He currently lives in Mumbai with his wife and son. His daughter is studying Computer Science.
Lokesh is an ardent fan of Bollywood music and movies. He plays the guitar and sings. He still codes. While his work responsibilities do not give him time to code at work, he gets to do that at home. He isa DIY person and usually the first call of support when things break. This has earned him the title, “Mr. Fixit”, at home.

Sanjaya Shrestha leads Rise India, Innovation & Vendor Partnerships for Barclays in India. In September 2018, he moved to India from Barclaycard in London, where he was Director of Innovation. He has been in the payments and lending industry for 15 years, and has held a variety of roles across digital, marketing, product, partnerships and strategy in American Express and Barclays. He has also worked as a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group (New York Office).

Shri Anand Pejawar has been appointed as the Whole-time Director of SBI General Insurance Company Ltd. Prior to taking on this position he had joined as Deputy Managing Director w.e.f. December 6, 2021.

Just prior to his appointment as DMD with SBI General, he was associated with SBI Life Insurance for 16 years, last posting as President, reporting to the MD & CEO. Backed by a vast experience of 38 years which ranges from Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) to Banking (Cooperative Banking to local Banks and international Banking), Financial Distribution to the Top Management of SBI Life Insurance.

Shri Pejawar is a decorated with several recognitions, professionally and personally, latest one being the “Mumbai Ratna Award” bestowed by the Hon., Governor of Maharashtra in July 2021. He is an eminent thought leader with an eclectic vantage point on various insurance related matters. He has also represented the Insurance industry on various committees constituted by GOI & Regulator Both (IRDAI & RBI).

Shri Pejawar is an alumnus of the Columbia Business School, Manhattan, New York, with a Certificate of Management Development Programme, (MDP) others certification from IIM Kolkata, ISB, Hyderabad. He has completed his Post graduation in Financial Management (PGDFM) from KC College and holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from University of Bombay.

Shri Pejawar has been elevated as Whole-time Director of the Company w.e.f. 28th November 2022.

Nanaiah Kalengada is the Managing Director, Equifax Credit Information Services Private Limited and Country Leader - India & MEA, Equifax. He is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for both the Credit Bureau in India and Analytics businesses in India & Middle East region for Equifax. Nanaiah has led Equifax to build diversified solutions with exchanges across Retail, Microfinance, Commercial, Employment and Fraud Risk management over the years with a unique market position. Equifax has also been awarded with the ‘Best Brands’ by the Economic Times for 2 consecutive years in 2021 and 2022 under his leadership and Mint Tech Circle, an arm of HT Media group awarded Equifax for excellence in digital execution Nanaiah is also the Director of Infocredit Holdings Private Limited (IHPL) based in Singapore and was a Committee Member of CII National Committee on Inclusion and Digitization. Prior to joining Equifax, he was the Managing director of Pitney Bowes in India, a global technology company. He has set up the India Business of Pitney Bowes as the first Managing director and managed the business successfully for over ten plus years. He has proven skills of having built a high-performance organization, setting up processes, implementing controls and introducing innovative solutions to create success patterns. He has also received awards for encouraging Diversity at workplace. An avid cyclist and loves farming.

Manas Shukla is Segment Head – Digital Business, at Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited. With a total work experience of more than 20 years across the financial services Industry, Manas has held various key positions across Digital Business, ETFs, Strategy & Innovation and Business Development handling various leadership positions across Nippon India Mutual Fund, Edelweiss Mutual Fund and ICICI Bank. His current profile primarily involves deepening the MF reach through strategic alliances and developing products and platforms for intermediaries to promote and make MF products reach across hinterlands of Real Bharat.
He has excelled in his Graduation and Post-Graduation in Management from Lucknow University.

Dhananjaya Tambe was the Dy. Managing Director & CIO of State Bank of India, India’s largest bank, from April 2018 till November 2020. He joined the Bank in 1987 and moved to the IT vertical in 2009 for leading the Integrated Payment Hub Project. In 2011, he became the head of Internet Banking. From 2013 to 2014, he served as General Manager, first of Payment Systems and then of IT-Infrastructure. In 2015, Mr Tambe was elevated to the rank of Chief General Manager for IT- Operations and later for IT-Transformation, Collaboration and Marketing.

Mr Tambe was CEO of C-Edge Technologies Ltd. till April 2022. C-Edge is a TCS-SBI joint venture which provides banking technology services to over 200 banks, including CBS services to over 170 banks on a SaaS model. Banks served by C-Edge include Regional Rural Banks, Urban Cooperative Banks, District Central Cooperative Banks and a few private, public sector and foreign banks.

Currently, Mr Tambe is a director on the board of some companies, consultant with some other companies and also advises clients as an Independent Consultant.
