Manipur is well known for its horticultural crops, rare and exotic medicinal and aromatic plants crafts, artisan products, handloom, handicrafts, tribal products, eco tourism etc since time immemorial. The socio-economic pattern of the society of the Region is reflected in the quality and craftsmanship of their handicrafts and agri-horti based products. These traditional Products not only bring foreign exchange, income and employment opportunities, but are a mirror of cultural and social heritage of the region. A good marketing system and training can stimulate production and further increase economic development of the State. Against this background, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and Indian Chamber of Commerce will organize a 2 days capacity building workshop on 16th & 17th March'2023 at Imphal, Manipur which will act as a platform to connect the stakeholders to network and understand the skills required to enhance entrepreneurship development, new technologies and explore market linkages.
Objectives of the Workshop:
To discuss initiatives taken by the Government of Manipur to promote MSMEs in the State.
To discuss initiatives taken by the Government of Manipur to promote Startups in the State.
To discuss the marketing linkages needed for MSME and its huge export potentialities.
To make the participants aware about the latest technological developments.
To understand the infrastructure needs – Storage, Transportation, Manufacturing Facility, Processing Facility etc.
To encourage entrepreneurship development in the State.
